Campaign on safe sex launched with condom dress

Campaign on safe sex launched with condom dress

Tuesday, November 27, 2012, 15:28 GMT+7

A special dress made of around 2,000 condoms and 1,000 LED lights on November 26 was showcased at the press conference in Ho Chi Minh City to announce the Binh Thuong Hoa Bao Cao Su (Normalizing Condoms) campaign, which is in its second year.

The dress was designed by Nguyen Minh Tuan, a former student of Van Lang University’s Graphic Design - Industrial Fine Arts Faculty, for his graduate project in response to the World Day against HIV/AIDS (December 1). It aims to send the message of “Normalizing condoms – be normal to live, love and be happy.”

A group of local artists including the 2011 Vietnam’s Next Top Model’s first runner up Tra My, actress Dinh Y Nhung, actor Ngoc Thuan and singer Quoc Thien are also joining the campaign's photo collections to raise people’s awareness on using condoms and safe sex.

Last year, Tuan released a dress made of 700 condoms, also as part of his graduate project, for the campaign when it was first launched.

Below are some pictures featuring featuring model Tra My in the condom dress:
