The Ministry of Transport has sent a document to three local airlines and the national airport operator, asking them to review their attitude towards passengers and to better their airport and onboard services.

Recipients of the prompting document include the Airport Corporation of Vietnam, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, and two budget carriers, Jetstar Pacific Airlines and Vietjet Air.

“VNA should strengthen its flight attendants’ attitude and behavior toward passengers, as well as increasing its service quality,” the ministry said, while requiring that VNA stay adherent to aviation security regulations.

All of the carriers, meanwhile, have to develop business plans in accordance with the market demand, while the ACV must provide training courses to all of the employees at terminals countrywide, it added.

The reminder came after the ministry received many complaints about the attitude of flight attendants, the quality of service, and the repeated flight cancellations, according to Deputy Minister Pham Quy Tieu.

In response, ACV has sent a document to all of the airports under its management to reiterate the ministry’s directive, an ACV representative told Tuoi Tre.

JPA CEP Le Hong Ha also said he has reminded all of his employees to review and improve their attitude.

Vietjet Air said it has asked ticket agents and terminal employees to make weekly reports about the quality of their customer care service for better management.
