Kpop stars lighten up Hanoi stage

The “K-Pop Festival 2012 - Concert in Vietnam” gathering around 70 artists from South Korea concluded last night at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium, leaving a night to remember for local Kpop fans.

The event was held by the South Korean Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation in collaboration with S.Korean 9M Art company and the Vietnamese VK MEDIA. JSC as part of activities to mark the 20th anniversary of relations between the two countries.

It showcased renowned names of Kpop including singers Son Dambi and HyunA as well as a number of star bands including SNSD, Dong Bang Shin Ki, Beast, Sistar, B.A.P, T-ARA, , KARA, Miss A, FT Island, Teen TOP and INFINITE.

Besides performing hits which have made their names in Vietnam, the singers pleased their fans by greeting in the local language. Boy band Teen Top even stunned audiences with their performance of the Bac Ninh traditional folk song “Beo Dat May Troi.”

“I’m so happy listening to my idols directly on the stage. I bought the ticket at the price of VND2.5 million so that I can stay close to see them,” Nguyen Thuy Nhung shared.

Earlier, a group of South Korean artists including renowned five-piece girl band Wonder Girls, Huh Gak, ZE:A, SanE, JJ Project, Bibap and Hi.ni enthralled Ho Chi Minh City with their performance at the concert titled “M Live Most Amazing 2012,” held on November 24 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of relations between the two countries.
