Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang have recently been mentioned as among top 10 destinations which are not far from Singapore by relax.com.sg, a publication of AsiaOne.

Calling those cities “hidden treasures,” the page also introduced highlights of those places as well as how people can get there.

“Formerly known as Saigon, HCMC is home to several historical monuments including the Cu Chi tunnels used during the Vietnam War, the Opera House and Notre Dame Cathedral. Vast entertainment and nightlife, and a haven for food and shopping, Vietnam’s capital city is a bustling Southeast Asian city with something for everyone,” the article wrote.

Meanwhile, the website mentioned Da Nang as a place renowned for nearby UNESCO world heritage sites such as the Imperial City of Hue and the My Sons’ ruins.

“The Marble Mountains just south of Da Nang stands out as the enchanting spot for fantastic cave exploration. Another key highlight for visitors is Cham Island, known for some coral reef snorkeling and a beachside seafood BBQ”.

Other places in the list include Vientiane, Lombok, Makassar, Yogyakarta, Kochi, Siem Reap, Yangon, and Kota Kinabalu.
