-- One person was killed while at least 10 others were injured in an accident involving four cars and around nine motorbikes that happened on Saturday night in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City.

-- The Hai Chau District People’s Committee in the central city of Da Nang on Saturday put 50 eco-friendly trash bins into operation at public places.

-- Two middle-aged female peddlers on Saturday were beaten up by around 100 villagers in Soc Son District, Hanoi, who suspected them of kidnapping children.

-- The Ministry of Construction inspectorate have confirmed multiple wrongdoings at two luxury resort complexes developed by the Hanoi-based FLC Group in Sam Son Town and Quy Nhon City, located in the central provinces of Thanh Hoa and Binh Dinh.

-- All six Vietnamese students on Saturday bagged medals, including four golds at the 58th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Brazil. This is the highest-ever result since Vietnam first sent contestants to IMOs 43 years ago, according to the Ministry of Education and Training.
