The Consular Club in Ho Chi Minh City, representing consular missions throughout the city, will hold its annual International Charity Bazaar next week to raise funds for charity projects in 2017, the Consulate General of Germany said in a press release on Monday.
This is the 23rd time that the event has been held, and will continue the tradition of the International Charity Bazaar – selling goods and foods from all over the world for a good cause.
The bazaar will take place on November 26 from 09:00 am to 2:00 pm at the White Palace Convention Center in Phu Nhuan District.
The club prides itself on embracing difference, meaning that each year it brings together different cultures to the bazaar.
For example, the German table, organized by staff members of the German Consulate General and their families, will sell imported Christmas goods including Lebkuchen, Stollen, Adventskalenders, and more.
Visitors can buy tickets for VND50,000 (US$2.24) to enter a prize raffle draw. The raffle offers a variety of valuable prizes including vouchers for deluxe resorts and hotels in sought-after destinations in Vietnam, spa packages and lunch and dinner vouchers in luxury restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City.
Each prize in the raffle has a value of at least $100.
Funds raised at this year’s bazaar will be used by the Consular Club for charity projects to be implemented in 2017 to improve the quality of life of the most disadvantaged groups living in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces.
Celebrate the start of the holiday season by shopping to make a difference.
