Entitled “Art For a Better Home”, an upcoming art display at the SOZO Center will offer a great chance to link underprivileged children and you, who are lucky to have a warm family and wish to help the less fortunate.

The exhibition will be open from 12:00pm to 10:00pm at 176 Bui Vien Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1 on Sunday, July 22.

Visitors can enjoy a meal while contemplating dozens of paintings by a talented and formerly homeless teenager named Hieu, who is 17 years old.

People will be able to chat with him and learn more about his challenging childhood. You can offer charitable aid by buying your favorite painting from Hieu, who is now staying at the Green Bamboo Shelter, where his aptitude for art was first discovered.

People can also donate their personal paintings to be sold, funds from which will go towards Hieu and other children at the shelter. If you do so your name cards will be spread among visitors to SOZO, which is useful if you own an art gallery.

Paintings that are not sold will be returned to the person who donated them.

Apart from a payment to Hieu, the remaining sum collected from the sales and donations will be diverted to the Green Bamboo Shelter.
