Politics -- Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his visiting Norwegian counterpart Erna Solberg had talks in Hanoi on Friday, during which they agreed to encourage and support the two countries’ investors to explore cooperation opportunities, especially in maritime economy, seafood, energy, information technology and green growth.Society -- The search for the two pilots of two Sukhoi Su-22 fighter jets that went missing during a training exercise off central Vietnam on Thursday continues today, with rescuers saying they found a tail of one of the planes about 35 meters underwater in waters off Binh Thuan Province on late Friday afternoon. -- The Central Steering Board for Corruption Prevention and Control has set up seven inspection teams to inspect anti-corruption activities in the four ministries of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Construction, and Natural Resources and Environment, and in 10 provinces and cities, including Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Binh Duong, Kien Giang and Dong Thap. The inspection is slated to run from May 31 to July 31. -- Child sexual abuse in Vietnam is tending to rise, with the number of cases of child sexual abuse in 2014 increasing by 6.3 percent from a year earlier, Lieutenant Colonel Khong Ngoc Oanh, from the Ministry of Public Security, warned at a seminar on child sexual abuse held in Hanoi on Friday. -- A 42-year-old man randomly opened an emergency exit door while he was on board a plane of Vietnam’s low-cost airline VietJet Air at the Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi on Friday afternoon, causing a three-hour delay to the flight that was scheduled to fly to Ho Chi Minh City.  -- The World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday confirmed that the Vietnam ’s national regulatory authority for vaccine’s quality and safety meets international standards, the Vietnamese Ministry of Health said the same day, adding that the WHO will grant Vietnam a certificate of qualification on June 21.Business -- The Ho Chi Minh City Tourist Association has proposed that the Government consider granting visa exemption for travelers from 12 more countries including Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, German, the UK, France, Spain, Brazil, India, Ukraine, Latvia, and Estonia, as these are potential providers of tourists to Vietnam.Lifestyle -- A book festival, themed “Books in the past and present,” opened in Hanoi’s Thong Nhat Park Friday, featuring 150 bookstalls from 100 publishing houses and book companies. The event, the largest ever of this kind in Hanoi, will last until April 21, under the joint organization of the Vietnam Publishing Association and the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications.Sport -- Chelsea will host Manchester United (M.U) at Stamford Stadium in a match in the 33rd round of the Premier League at 11:30 pm on April 18 (Vietnam time).  According to observers, if Chelsea can defeat their rival tonight, they will likely win the the championship.
