Ancient jewelries shine at Hanoi exhibition

An exhibition featuring Vietnamese ancient jewelries has been opened in the capital city of Hanoi on August 30.

Titled “Vietnamese ancient jewelries,” the event on the occasion of the National day (September 2) showcases around 100 jewelries dating back to ancient cultures like Phung Nguyen, Dong Dau, Dong Son, Sa Huynh, Dong Nai and Oc Eo as well as the Nguyen Dynasty.

The objects were made from a wide range of materials including animal bone and horn, crystal, gemstones, bronze, silver and gold with sophisticated design.

The exhibition will run until the end of this year at the Vietnam National Museum of History at 1 Trang Tien Street.
