Politic:

- A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Tran Dac Loi, attended the 10th congress of the Liberation Front of Mozambique (Frelimo) from Sept. 23-28.

- Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Truong Tan Sang, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung have extended congratulations to their Chinese counterparts on China’s 63rd National Day (October 1). In their messages to China, the Vietnamese leaders highlighted the achievements that the Chinese people have made over the past 63 years.

Lifestyle:

- The voting for the 28th Mai Vang Awards organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper to honor local artists has been launched since October 1. The awards which will be decided by the number of votes by local audiences include 14 categories, such as Most Favorite Band, Most Favorite Song and Most Favorite Comedian. This year’s award ceremony is scheduled to be held on January 26 in 2013.

- From October 1, Tuoi Tre Newspaper open a new column titled featuring writing pieces of bloggers about local entertainment industry.

Society:

- A customer coming to the Vietnam motor show 2012 exhibition at the Giang Vo Exhibition Center in Hanoi on September 30 when he drove a car at the venue’s experimental driving area. The accident has injured 2 people, including ón 10-year0old boy and a Honda’s technician.

Business:

- A number of local enterprises selling cooking gas has informed the price will increase by VND16,000 per 12-kilogram cooking gas cylinder. As a result, a 12-kilogram cooking gas cylinder will cost VND434,000.

Sport:

- The American non-government East Meets West Foundation in Collaboration with Hong Kong Sporting Republic company on September 30 organizzed a vertical running contest at the Vietnam’s highest building Heangnam Lanmarkk 72 in Hanoi. The contest attracted around 300 runners from 20 countries. Australian Walsham Suzanne and Belgium Bekkali won the highest prize at the categories of professional female runner and professional male runner respectively.
