-- Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Sunday issued a decision to begin the construction of a 53-kilometer road project that connects the two cities of Can Tho and Rach Gia in the Mekong Delta. The project is estimated to cost VND6.7 trillion (US$298.8 million).
-- The Ministry of Transport has issued a circular stating that the maximum speed of automobiles in populated areas in Vietnam has been increased by 10kph. The circular will come into effect on March 1.
-- Police officers in the central city of Da Nang on Sunday carried out inspections of several high-capacity motorcycles and penalized nine vehicle owners for failing to present driver’s licenses, registration documents, license plates, and riding in groups that obstructs traffic.
