Filipino non-profit seeks Indochinese for agriculture scholarships

The Philippines-based Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) is accepting applications for master’s degree scholarships in upland agriculture and food security funded by the International Development and Research Center (IDRC) of Canada.
The scholarships are open to nationals of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia who will pursue any of the following programs: agriculture, agricultural systems, agricultural economics, agroforestry, applied nutrition, food science and technology, sustainable agriculture and integrated watershed management, sustainable land use and natural resources management, sustainable agriculture, systems approaches in agriculture, and rural development management.
They are tenable at the University of the Philippines Los Baños or any of these three Thai universities: Chiang Mai University, Kasetsart University, and Khon Kaen University.
Applicants must be teaching/research staff of universities or technical/field personnel at government agencies, or non-governmental organizations. Women are particularly encouraged to apply.
SEARCA, which administers the scholarships, is an intergovernmental non-profit that fosters cooperation among the Southeast Asian nations in education, science, and culture.
IDRC is a public corporation created by the Canadian government to support and promote research, growth, and development in developing countries.
