Politic:

- A delegation from the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association on September 23 visited to the northern province of Ninh Binh as part ofactivities to mark the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year and the 45th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.

Society:

- A series of seven earthquakes have jolted the area of Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Plant in Quang Nam Province’s Bac Tra My District within 13 hours from 10pm on September 22 to 10:57am on the next day, causing a stir in the locality. The strongest quake is believed the latest one at 10:57am.

- The Saigon Zoo has recently opened a zone featuring a number of rare animals from South America and Africa. All of those animals are in the world’s Red List of Threatened Species. The zoo has spent VN2billion in total on importing the species.

Lifestyle:

- Two concerts to mark the relationship between Norway and Vietnam will take place at the Hanoi opera House at 8pm on September 25 and 26. Norwegian conductor Terjie Mikkelsen, Vietnamese violinist Bui Cong Duy and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will perform at the event.

- Two community dancing performances to support the lesbian, gay, bisexuals and transgender people (LGBT) community were organized on the same day in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The performances on September 23 attracted hundreds of local youths who want to raise their voices to protect LGBT people.

Sport:

- Local bodybuilderHO Tan Phat on September 23 won the golden medal in the classic bodybuilding category for athlete up to 1.6 meter in height at the Asian Bodybuilding Champions held in Guangzhou, China.

- Local Chess star Le Quang Liem has recently suggest that there should be more professional chess clubs in order to create environment for local chess players to develop.

Business:

- Around 100 Japanese enterprises are on their visit to Vietnam from September 23 to 26. The delegation will meet and work with Hanoi’s companies to discuss exchanging investment between the two countries.
