“Everything will be fine with an individual with good characteristics!”

Many people ask: “Is my career good?” “Is my family life good?” “Is my children future good?” “Is my love good?”

I simply ask them only one question: “Is your characteristics good?”

This is one of the many short stories or expressions shared on her Facebook. All target at perfection and discovery of the light in each individual’s personality. Not everyone who is born becomes good individuals. Not everyone becomes bad figures.  To her, “Consciousness plays a crucial role in deciding fate.” Every single step, every single event in an individual life opens up a certain door. Then, depending on each individual’s choice, life principle and incline to the good, people can choose the most appropriate way of living for “themselves."

To her, nothing is completely correct and nothing is completely wrong. Correctness and wrongness has no absolute value. Looking at an issue is looking at the whole process, not only at the results.

All of the people who used to work and have been working with TTC that I know grant her “deep” affection, respect and admiration which are far beyond the so-called “staff and boss.” It is affection to a sincerest eldest sister in a big family of thousands of household members.

She is born in a Chinese-Vietnamese family in which traditional rites and hierarchy are placed on top of everything else. Being the only daughter in the family, she always receives special “care” and “supervision”, especially from her parents. Her determination to continue her study in New Zealand, a place which was not popular yet at that time and none of her relatives as well as not many Vietnamese people were living at, was a reckless and uneasy decision. She faced with acrimonious objection from her family. Her father was so determined in cutting off all aids from her mother and warned her of being abandoned if she still insisted on going for her study there. Her determination, however, helped her to overcome all the obstacles. The desire to learn and to conquer new things in life has never made her regret. And yes, her decision has been correct!

The knowledge that she has gained from a country with an advanced banking and finance industry has helped her to approach not only the knowledge resources but also the practical operation of one of the big banks in the world. This is extremely useful when she came back to Vietnam, joining in managing her family business. TTC at the time was Thanh Thanh Cong Trading and Production Joint Stock Company. All resources were used to focus on the trading business of cane sugar and molasses with traditional customers who retailed at markets and who worked in smaller industries. TTC at that time also anticipated to catch the equalization trend of the government businesses and purchased their stocks. The very beginning purpose was to invest and create assets as well as to obtain information from the enterprises in the sugar cane industry to serve TTC trading business. No one has ever negated the effectiveness of TTC business at that time, including herself. However, to the best of her knowledge, she knew that TTC had to do more than that in order to optimize its capability and effectiveness.

One more time, she struggled to convince her family to restructure TTC investment portfolio, aiming at the investments that were the most effective and withdrawing from the small and unfocused financial ones. BIG DESIRE, CLEAR-CUT STRATEGY, READY-TO-WORK LABOR FORCE AND EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION is always her and her staff at TTC’s working mottos. With careful preparation, planning and specific targets together with the whole staff’s enthusiasm, she was successful in convincing TTC founders. On July 28^th, 2011, TTC Group was established with the first seven member companies, operating in four industries: sugar cane, real estate, energy and hospitality. This has marked a milestone of the powerful changing from the model of a private enterprise to that of a multi-industry investment group with sustainable development and a vision to build up its business reputation in professionalism and responsibility.

Working for nearly five years in the model of a Group, TTC now possess more than twenty one member/associated companies. Beside the four industries as mentioned above, TTC has widened its operation to the educational field. TTC currently have a capital of VND11,000 billion, an equity of VND13,750 billion and a total asset of around VND30,000 billion. With their responsibility and professionalism, TTC always desire to bring about the best for the community and their partners as well as the real meanings for the industries that TTC has been investing: “Agriculture is the foundation”, “Hospitality is the trend”, “Energy is the demand”, “Education is the future”, and “Real Estate is the home”.

Not stopping there, what people feel from TTC working environment is the responsibility, professionalism and the continuous learning. TTC does not limit their role as a financial investor. Their desire is to bring about the sustainable values for not only the invested enterprises but also the people related to those enterprises and their customers. She always believes in the appropriate strategy applied over each specific duration of time by TTC founders and the companion of all TTC people. To her, learning has no stop point: Study to know more about the industry that TTC has chosen to invest in; study to explore the market and customers’ demands; study to understand that an industry operation does not limit to the domestic market but rather reaches out to the area and the world. To her, in the coming integration trend, the attitude of acceptance and satisfaction with what they have already obtained correlates with obsolescence and self elimination. Understanding the market operating rules is a prerequisite while improving the competitive capability and product quality as well as meeting customers’ demands are the sufficient conditions for an enterprise to survive and develop.

Her fire of enthusiasm is reflected on everything she does, fanning the flames of passion for all the people around her. To TTC people, she is not only a boss but also a “leader” and an “eldest sister”. Promoting strengths, limiting weaknesses, generating happiness and enthusiasm in working, supervising and giving instructions are what she always does at work. Her point of view is the benefits, the working environment and a clear career path offering to each individual play a crucial part in maintaining the labor force. 

Beside a huge volume of work and information that need to be resolved everyday, she still plays the devoting role of a daughter, a sister, a wife, and a mother, taking care of every member of her family. “The society has been developing more and more. The values that an enterprise has contributed to the community will take a determining role for its survival and sustainability. For myself, I am proud of being ‘the next generation’ rather than ‘an inheritor’. I love my job and my responsibilities that I am positively committed to. Nothing can be replaced with my family because there each individual member shows the highest of his/her responsibilities. Being responsible for my small family is to link and build up for the big family. Only when all family members have a firm family foundation can the family business thrive over the time.” These are the sincerest sharing from her on a recent article. Simple and close, sincere and determined are the adjectives that can be used to describe her.

To her, extraordinary results cannot be gained with ordinary effort. Strong belief can help ordinary people be successful with extraordinary or unbelievable things. If one makes effort after effort, ordinary things will become extraordinary. Only with firm belief, good spirit and strong effort can people turn big dreams into reality. Inspiration is only granted to those who can nurture their ambition and never give up with the burning desire in their dream.

I myself and all TTC people love her and grant her the most respectful affection. May health be with her all the time so that she can “burn” for her job and TTC dreams and be a strong trigger for TTC to fly higher and farther for new happiness and success!
