-- According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country’s embassy in France has set up two hotlines and extended their efforts to assist possible Vietnamese victims of the fatal shootings in Paris on Friday (local time) that claimed at least 128 lives.

-- The French Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday afternoon was open to members of the French community in Vietnam and expats from other countries who came to pay tribute to the deceased victims of the Paris terrorist attacks.

-- Prince Andrew, Duke of York, the third child of the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, on Saturday visited the Hanoi Creative City, located in the Vietnamese capital, to find out about how young Vietnamese businesspeople have launched their startups.

-- Police in the southern province of Binh Duong are investigating the deaths of a 19-year-old bride-to-be and her mother, who were found dead with several stabbing wounds in a rented room on Saturday afternoon, one day prior to her wedding.

-- According to Vo Thanh Tung, chair of the People’s Committee in Sa Dec City, located in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap, a piece of unexploded ordnance went off on Saturday at a base where Sapper Brigade 25 under the Military Zone 9 is stationed, killing a soldier on the spot and injuring 10 others.

-- Representatives of national carrier Vietnam Airlines have confirmed no changes to their flights to and from Paris following the Paris attacks on November 13, 2015. Local travel firms have also asserted that Vietnamese tourists vacationing in Paris around the time of the attacks are all safe and sound.

-- The People’s Committee in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on Saturday inaugurated the US$21.13-million Korea-Vietnam Incubator Park, dedicated to the research and development of the city’s three major industries.

-- Italy's MP & Silva announced on Saturday that they had secured the rights to distribute the exclusive telecast rights of the English Premier League from 2016 to 2019 in Vietnam and 27 other Asian countries.
