The Embassy of Ireland in Hanoi is accepting applications from Vietnamese candidates for up to twenty scholarships for master’s programs in the 2014-15 academic year at higher education institutions in the European country.

Applicable disciplines include pharmacy, biotechnology, information technology, and social studies.

Ten to twenty candidates will be granted the fellowships and provided with return airfare, full tuition fees, public health insurance, accommodation and subsistence costs, and other allowances.

Applicants must be working in areas related to the above majors at local public universities or government agencies.

Ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups are encouraged to apply for these scholarships.

They are required to hold a university degree with a minimum GPA of 7.0/10 (or equivalent) and have at least two years of working experience.

They must have scored at least 6.5 on the IELTS test or 90/120 on the TOEFL iBT. Those who qualify for the scholarships but fail to meet the English proficiency requirements can be sponsored to improve their foreign language capability.

Candidates have to demonstrate a strong commitment to the development of their home country and commit themselves to following their courses through to the end.

Applications must be submitted to the Embassy at 2nd Floor, Sentinel Place, 41A Ly Thai To Street, Hanoi by December 31.
