Famed photographer Nguyen A recently released his pictorial book titled “Nick and his days in Vietnam” as another source of inspiration to local physically-challenged youths.
The pictorial book, A’s third one, features some hundred photos which capture Nick Vujicic, a limbless 31-year-old man who has triumphed over his disability and provided boundless inspiration to people, during his five-day visit to Vietnam in late May this year.
The square, 200-page colored book, which has both Vietnamese and English annotations and sells for VND250,000 (US$12), is the work of A’s days of following Vujicic in each of his activities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The later part of the book features the photos of the limbless man which had been exhibited in Hanoi and HCMC. The photos capturing A taking photos of Vujicic by his colleagues are also showcased on the last two pages of the book.
According to A, who has dedicated 10 years to taking photos of physically-challenged people, part of the book sale revenue will be donated to the Disabled Kids Fund and Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.
The book launch was also the get-together of local disadvantaged youths, among whom many have been featured in A’s photo collections.
