Finnish dance band performs for free in Hanoi

Jari & Taika, a Finnish dance band, will perform for free in the capital city of Hanoi as part of the activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and Vietnam.

Formed in 2004, the band consists of saxophonists Jari and Jaakko Heikkila, drummers Jukka Kaurila and Hannu Gooseberry, and guitarist Kimmo Rikkone. They are all also masters of the accordion. The 5-member band will showcase many genres of music, from Finish classics to modern pop songs.

The concerts will take place at the Octagonal Stage at Ly Thai To Park at 8pm on October 22, at the Workers Theatre at 8pm on October 23, and at Metropole Hotel at 9pm on October 24.

Free tickets are available at the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi at 31 Hai Ba Trung Street.

Earlier, on October 21, the band performed at the Hai Phong Opera House in Hai Phong City.
