Last year, Lam Minh Hai became winner of the first season after beating three other rivals including Hong Nhung, To Nhu and Quang Dang. The first season also drew attention of local media and audiences with several touching stories around, including the story of Hoa Duc Cong, a finalist who was struggling with devastating renal failure to be on stage.
