On September 11, Arab heartthrob Omar Borkan Al Gala arrived in Ho Chi Minh City for an event 2 days later. He was welcomed at the airport like a celebrity but it turns out the pretty man has never been "deported for being too handsome" at all.

Recently, news has been spreading, claiming that the 25-year-old man has never been deported from Saudi Arabia for being too handsome as earlier believed.

In April, news saying Omar and two of his friends were expelled from Saudi Arabia after a festival “for being too good looking and acting as a potential distraction to women” in the country went rival. It propelled him to stardom as well as earned him over 1 million Facebook fans. He was even gifted a Mercedes by a secret admirer, as he once claimed.

However, according to Peru.com, Omar confessed to Mexican magazine "Who" in a interview that he was not expelled for his physical appearance. Moreover, Islawmix.org claimed that Omar, and the two other mystery men, were not deported from Saudi Arabia, nor were they kicked out of the heritage and cultural festival.

It said that accoring to the head of the mutawaeen, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, Omar was complained for making his way into the family section of the event and was dancing inappropriately. He then was taken aside by members of the national guard, questioned but was not asked to leave the event, let alone the country.

In HCMC, Omar’s arrival this morning attracted around 200 local fans who waited at the airport to have a glimpse of the man in the flesh. However, some commented his appearance was not as gorgeous as his retouched pictures on the Internet.

During his stay in HCMC, Omar will have a meeting with local press and attend an auction event at 7pm on September 11. On the next day, he will come to Cho Ray Hospital and give presents to the hospital’s charity fund, then visit Tu Du’s Hoa Binh village where children affected with Agent Orange are being raised.

At the main show titled “Ket Noi Uoc Mo” (Linking dreams) to be held at the Military Zone 7 Stadium on September 13, Omar will take part in an interactive session with Vietnamese fans, a catwalk performance and charity activities.
