Help-portrait Vietnam 2013, the annual event in which photographers take free portraits of people they meet on the street, is open for photographer registration for the December 7 event.

The event is part of Help-Portrait Worldwide, in which photographers across the world use their skills to give back to their community. Every December, photographers around the world grab their cameras, find people in need, and take their portraits for free.

Help-portrait Vietnam, which is in its 4th year, will take place in 10 cities and provinces including Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Da Nang, Bien Hoa, Da Lat, Ha Giang, Hue, Hai Phong, Hanoi, and Sapa. So far, 226 local photographers have registered to participate. The deadline for registration is November 20.

Last year, more than 700 photographers joined the event, giving away 4,462 portraits for free.
