Mass fight between cabbies, truck driver near airport caught on tape

A brawl between a group of cabbies and a truck driver that many said was straight out of an action movie occurred near Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat international airport on September 10.

Eyewitnesses said the fight stemmed from a minor collision between a truck and a taxi on Hong Ha Street at about 11:30am. At first, the truck driver kicked the taxi’s side-view mirror and struck the cabbie.

After that, other taxi drivers quickly appeared and attacked the truck driver in support of their colleague. The scuffle, which caused a 15 minute-long traffic jam on the street, only ended once local policemen arrived.
