Narcotics agents and police in the southern province of Dong Nai have captured two men for transporting illegal drugs weighing about 14kg.

N.H.L., 45, and N.Q.H., 45, were caught transporting narcotics by train from Hanoi to Bien Hoa City, the capital of Dong Nai, at 5:00 am on Friday.

The two were held at a local police office for further investigation.

Initial reports said that the two boarded the train coded SE3, bound for the southern city, before being detected by police officers and inspectors when getting off the train.

There were 14 bags of drugs, about one kilogram each, packed in two cardboard boxes, police said, adding that the illegal items were transported to Hanoi from a northern province and were then trafficked by train to Bien Hoa.
