People in Ho Chi Minh City have had a chilling experience, as a tree was rooted up by a heavy rain, damaging three cars on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 2:00 pm on Nguyen Van Huong Street in District 2, where a tree fell onto three cars parked along the street after it was uprooted by a squally shower.
The three vehicles were severely damaged with their frames distorted and window glasses broken, according to eyewitnesses who said that no lives were claimed.

Branches and parts of the tree’s foliage also hit a nearby coffee shop, panicking its staff and guests, they added.
Initial reports said that the climatic event, accompanied by strong gusts, also cracked branches of many trees grown along the street.
Workers of a local public service company were then dispatched to clear the fallen trees.
