First Japanese language centre in Hoi An opens

First Japanese language centre in Hoi An opens

Wednesday, August 29, 2012, 09:19 GMT+7

The first Japanese training centre in Hoi An, in the central province of Quang Nam, has just been opened in the city’s Old Quarter.

The centre will meet the demand of Vietnamese people who want to learn the language and understand the culture of Japan, which first set up a sea trade route with the Old Quarter in the 17th century.

Located at No. 5 Ngo Gia Tu Street and run by Japanese company Human Resource Institute Vietnam, the centre will also act as a bridge for tourists from Japan and other countries visiting Hoi An and for Vietnamese students studying in Japan and vice versa.

Local authorities said they hope the centre will further develop the relationship between Japan and Vietnam.
