-- Market watchdogs in the southern province of Binh Phuoc’s Dong Xoai Commune on Wednesday seized nearly a ton of fruits smuggled from China. The fruits, which were found at Dong Xoai Market, were then destroyed.

-- A four-seater car caught fire on Wednesday at the Terminal T2 parking lot at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi. The driver was killed in the incident.

-- About 1,000 representatives from Vietnam and France are attending a conference on Vietnam-France cooperation in the southern city of Can Tho from September 14 to 16. Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam confirmed France is one of the major international partners of Vietnam with more than 60 localities in the two countries joining the cooperation network.
