Fuel retail prices surge on world trend

The retail prices of A92 gasoline and diesel have increased by VND1,430 and VND362 a liter respectively starting 8pm on Thursday (today).

The retail price of A92 gasoline and diesel are now at VND24,580 and VND21,912 a liter respectively, according to a joint committee of the ministries of finance and industry-trade.

It was reported that the new gasoline price reaches the highest amount ever recorded.

Kerosene and fuel oil prices also hike to VND18,457 from VND17,650 and VND22,080 from VND21,600 per liter, they said, adding that the price adjustments were made after the world oil prices continued to surge.

This is the first time that the country’s fuel retail prices have been adjusted since November 2012 when A92 gasoline retail price was cut by VND500to VND23,150.
