Man captures stunning aerial views of Vietnam from north to south

A Vietnamese photographer has spent a year traversing Vietnam with his drone camera, capturing jaw-dropping aerial photos and videos of the country’s beauty from north to south.

Le The Thang said the devices costed him some VND200 million (US$8,929), but it was worth it.

In his year-long journey in 2015, Thang took photos of numerous places from north to south, including Dong Van Karst Plateau, Northwest terraces, Moc Chau Plateau, Ha Long Bay, Hue, Da Nang, My Son Sanctuary, An Giang sugar palm forests, Mekong rice fields, and many more.

“Shooting and filming by drone is really tough,” Thang shared.

“It is easy for the devices to fall down, because of technical error, foul weather or careless controller.”

However, Thang said he is still passionate about the job because taking pictures by flying cameras provides him stunning photos with a wide angle.

Besides the photo collection, the videos Thang filmed of the landscapes across the country were also stunning.

Last month the photographer released a video, combing the best photos and footage he had captured the Dong Van Karst Plateau in the northern province of Ha Giang from the sky, and the work immediately went viral.

The 2-minute-46-second video, released for non-commercial use, stuns viewers by depicting a heaven-like place covered in morning frost, majestic mountains, amazing winding roads, beautiful fields and innocent ethnic kids in colorful traditional costumes.

One of the most outstanding works of the photographer, Thang's drone video of the Dong Van Plateau has been praised by many local viewers, who thanked Thang and his video for helping them to be able to feel the beauty of the plateau.
