Business -- The Italian Trade Commission – in collaboration with the Italian Trade Commission (ITA), the Italian Manufacturers of Machinery for Footwear, Leathergoods, Tannery and Related Accessories (ASSOMAC), and the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO) – has recently launched the Italian-Vietnamese Shoes Technology Center in the southern province of Binh Duong. -- Laos’ Savannakhet province currently has 24 projects with the investment capital of more than US$170 million from Vietnamese enterprises, Santiphap Phomvihane, head of the province, said at a trade promotion conference on Wednesday between Lao provinces and Ho Chi Minh City. -- The total Vietnam-China bilateral trade turnover in 2016 was $71 billion, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung said at a meeting between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises on Wednesday.Lifestyle -- Nearly 200 performers, including 100 students, are getting ready for a show titled “Tuoi Tre Viet Nam – Cau Chuyen Hoa Binh” (Vietnamese Youth – The Story of Peace) jointly held by Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper at the Truong Son national martyr cemetery in the central province of Quang Tri tonight. -- A series of activities including exchanges and book launches will be organized at the Nguyen Van Binh book street in Ho Chi Minh City from July 21 to 30 to commemorate the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).
