-- The hi-tech police unit in Dong Nai Province on Tuesday busted an email account hacking ring for stealing credentials and pinching dozens of billion dong (VND1 billion = US$43,602) from individuals and companies while two of its members were withdrawing money from a bank in Ho Chi Minh City, around 30 kilometers away.

-- The People’s Committee of south-central Khanh Hoa Province on Tuesday decided to release Wolbachia mosquitoes, which will reduce the vulnerability of insects to become infected with dengue virus, outside of Nha Trang City in a bid to curb the escalating outbreak nationwide.

-- The bodies of two child buffalo herders have been retrieved after they had drowned on Monday while crossing a river in Tan Ky District in the north-central province of Nghe An along with their animals.   

-- The Department of Transport in the central city of Da Nang revealed on Tuesday they had decided to spend VND16.6 billion ($723,799) installing surveillance cameras on two streets prone to traffic jams and accidents in Cam Le District.

-- An 18-year-old girl who just came back from Australia, where she had been studying, and her preschool brother were found dead on Tuesday morning in their own home in Mong Cai City in the northern province of Quang Ninh in an alleged suicide.

-- Muong La District in the northern mountainous province of Son La, which had been ravaged by a flash flood earlier this month, has experienced relentless downpours over the past few days, an official has confirmed.

-- Police in southern Dong Nai Province on Tuesday arrested a male suspect for stabbing a woman 32 times to death and stealing a motorbike from her mortgage shop located in Nhon Trach District last week.

-- The Finance Ministry announced during a press conference on Tuesday they will make amendments to the Personal Income Tax Law, which, if approved, will benefit wage earners.

-- During a meeting on Tuesday, leaders in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa discussed measures to tighten management of condotels given the current rate of development, and ensure the facilities are operated as hotels only.

-- Customs officers in the northern city of Hai Phong disclosed on Tuesday they had seized 10 ship containers worth of bogus brand items which hail from China and are bound for Vientiane, Laos.
