People in localities across the southern region of Vietnam are likely to experience a hot weekend on Saturday and Sunday, according to the Southern Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
The cities of Bien Hoa and Long Khanh in Dong Nai Province, and Dong Xoai in Binh Phuoc Province will have the temperature of approximately 35 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
But the real feel can approach 38 degrees Celsius.
In the Mekong Delta region, the temperature in Vi Thanh City in Hau Giang Province, Can Tho City, and Vinh Long Province will be over 34 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, in other places, the temperature fluctuates from 31 to 34 degrees Celsius.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the temperature can hit a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius on Saturday, with the real feel of up to 35 degrees Celsius or more from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
During the aforementioned time period, people are advised to wear a jacket and sunglasses or bring an umbrella to avoid direct sunlight when going outdoor.
On the other hand, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasts that in the next three days, the ultraviolet index in northern provinces and cities will range between the levels of medium and high risk of harm.
Localities from the central to southern regions will also experience a very high UV Index.
