A fire broke out on Sunday at a Samsung supplier’s factory located in northern Vietnam but no casualties have been reported as of now.
The plant of Mobase Vietnam, a foreign-owned company, in Bac Ninh Province was engulfed in flames at 12:30 local time.
Firefighters were immediately mobilized to the scene to battle the fire until 15:00 when it was extinguished, but plumes of smoke were still seen at the facility at Yen Phong Industrial Park.
The incident took place during lunchtime but local residents said workers were still working at the plant when the fire erupted.
Hundreds of curious people gathered around the Mobase factory while security guards quickly blockaded the area.
Mobase supplies computer and mobile phone parts to Korean electronics giant Samsung.
Local authorities are investigating the cause and have yet to release any report on casualties.
