A French pop singer will hold a concert featuring songs from her debut album in Ho Chi Minh City next month, the event organizer said last week in a press release.

The concert featuring performances by French pop singer and songwriter Sophie Maurin will begin at 8:00 pm on October 10 at IDECAF, 28 Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1, according the press release sent to Tuoi Tre News on Friday.

Audience members will be able to listen to several songs that Maurin presented in her debut, “Sophie Maurin,” which was released in 2013.

Introduced at numerous events, such as Premières Francos Adami 2013, Académie Charles Cros 2013, and FAIR 2014, the album was also selected as the best debut by France Inter and Télérama, a well-known French radio channel.

Sophie Maurin began to learn classical training and jazz piano at the age of six, and studied at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville. In 2010, she self-produced her first recording, an EP entiled “7”.
