Two Vietnamese students have won a merit award at an Asia-wide architectural competition.
The FuturArc Prize 2016 contest had the theme ‘Small Things, Big Impact’ and officially closed on May 20, with an awards ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City honoring winning participants.
The merit award went to Nhu Le and Vinh Tran in the Student Category for their project ‘Cut and Fill Strategy,’ which presents their idea to reuse local resources in water management.
The project aims at constructing a productive and economically efficient landscape in Vietnam, according to newswire Vietnamplus.
The FuturArc Prize was launched in 2007 by the BCI Group of Companies through its publication arm, FuturArc Journal, to generate forward-thinking, innovative design ideas for Asia.
The competition offers a platform for professionals and students who are passionate about the environment.
Through the force of their imagination, it aspires to capture visions of a more sustainable future.
