The new version of Vietnam Supermodel, called Elite model look - Vietnam Supermodel 2013, promises many changes in both form and content.

The prize is higher than previous programs with two Gold cups (for 1 male, 1 female) worth VND500 million ($25,000) including VND200 million ($10,000) in cash and a chance to participate in the International Elite model look worth VND300 million ($15,000).

Four Silver prizes (for 2 males, 2 females) are worth VND250 million ($12,500) including VND150 million ($7,500) in cash and a chance to join the Look of the year 2013 or Asia super model contest worth VND100 million ($5,000).

This beauty competition is the combination between Vietnam Supermodel and International version of Elite model look, organized by Vietnam Television, VTV, in collaboration with CATS, also known as Cat Tien Sa, a Vietnam communication company.

Vietnamese citizens between the ages of 18 and 25 of both sexes, who are not married and have a good-looking body, can take part in the contest. Women applicants’ height must be from 1.68m or more while men’s height must be from 1.78m or more. Contestants must complete high school or higher education and do not have any criminal record.

The Vietnam Supermodel contest is organized annually starting from 2002. In 2005, there was only one Gold prize given to Nguyen Thuy Huong, a candidate from Hanoi. Last year, Nguyen Phuong Mai and Nguyen Huu Long were the winners.
