Hollywood actor to star in Vietnamese movie

Hollywood action director and actor Roger Yuan on October 17 arrived in Ho Chi Minh City to star in the Vietnamese movie titled “Lua Phat” (The Fire of Buddha).

Directed by actor Dustin Nguyen, the fantasy action movie will depict a story about the struggle between good and evil. Yuan will play a villain named Long, the antagonist of the main character named Dao, played by Dustin Nguyen.

Born in Los Angeles, Roger Yuan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California Los Angeles. Yuan is known for his role as Inspector Chiang Kohung in the 2009 mainstream Bollywood film

“Chandni Chowk to China.” He also appeared in some Hollywood blockbusters including “Shanghai Noon,” “Syriana,” “Batman Begins,”

“Lethal Weapon 4” and “Bulletproof Monk.” Under the plan, “Lua Phat” movie will start to shoot in November.
