Towers Watson: Wage increase in 2013 is lower than 2012

The average wage increase this year is 11.7 %, lower than last year’s increase of 13.8 %, according to statistics issued by Towers Watson Vietnam.

Accordingly, the highest wage increase is in the manufacturing sector, at 12.7%. The financial service sector has the lowest increase, of only 1 %.

Last year, the financial service sector also had the lowest wage increase at 12.2%.

Towers Watson predicts that the wage increase in 2014 will be 11.5%, a slight decrease of 0.2% from this year. The company conducted the survey on 321 enterprises in which 60 companies belonged to the manufacturing sector.
