Indian actress Avika Gor arrives in Vietnam for charity work

Popularly known in Vietnam as the ‘young Anandi’ from ‘Balika Vadhu,’ an Indian television serial, the Asian celeb Avika Gor has returned to Vietnam for charity work.

“Beautiful welcome #love #vietnam #hochiminhcity,” the 19-year-old actress captioned her picture of a bouquet of flowers on Twitter as she arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday.

Sharing on Instagram, Avika Gor said that it has been two years since her first visit and described the love and blessings she received for the soap was “unbelievable.”

“And that love calls me again to meet these #beautiful #souls for #sasuralsimarka ..#proudmoment . I m coming .. #hochiminhcity on 23rd june 2016 . ..Thnk u all ...,” the protagonist of ‘Balika Vadhu’ added on the social network while showing her boarding pass on another post.

During her three-day visit to Vietnam, Avika Gor and Echannel-VTVcab5, a Vietnamese film broadcasting channel, are slated to provide US$30,000 for Cho Ray Hospital’s social and charity division on Saturday to offer free treatment to disadvantaged children.

She will meet local media in the southern city to talk about her career as well as ‘Sasural Simar Ka,’ a recently-aired serial at 8:00 pm daily on Echannel.

On her Instagram account, Avika Gor posts the picture of a flower bouquet she received when arriving in Ho Chi Minh City and captions it saying, “Beautiful welcome,” on June 23, 2016.

The Indian star will also have an exchange with local audiences at Pearl Plaza, located at 561 Dien Bien Phu Street, Binh Thanh District, at 7:00 pm on Friday.

In her career, Avika Gor has won the Best Child Artist of the Indian Television Academy Awards for three consecutive years (2008, 2009, and 2010).

In December 2014, Avika Gor made her first visit to Vietnam.

‘Balika Vadhu,’ set up in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan, deals with the issue of child marriage.

The two-year-old show on the `Colors' channel focuses on the journey of a child-bride, who fails to have a joyful childhood and gets bound by strict customs.
