Thomas Ander, vocalist of the world-known German pop duo Modern Talking, is poised to set fans in Vietnam in nostalgic melodies with the band’s iconic hits next month.

Ander is expected to arrive in Hanoi for the upcoming concert, “Modern Talking Live in Concert,” on November 26, according to IB Group, a local media service company.

The concert is slated to be held at the Vietnam National Convention Center, the company said.

The band, consisting of Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen, has been regarded as Germany’s most successful pop duo, and has had a number of singles reaching the top five in many countries.

Modern Talking worked together from 1983 to 1987, when the band split up. In 1997, they were reunited and made a successful comeback, recording and releasing music from 1998 to 2003.

Their first single You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul made the duo become immensely popular in 35 countries, including their homeland. The single eventually went on to sell eight million copies worldwide.

Other iconic and widely-known hits of theirs are You Can Win If You Want; Cheri, Cheri Lady; Brother LouieAtlantis Is Calling (S.O.S. for Love); and Geronimo's Cadillac.
