The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) is launching a video contest under the theme of HIV/AIDS in Vietnam.
According to the organizer, the contest is held to commemorate the World AIDS Day on December 1 by remembering those who have fallen victim to AIDS, to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and to demonstrate international solidarity in the face of the pandemic.
It welcomes all Vietnamese nationalities with valid ID, currently residing in Vietnam and between 15 and 35 years of age.
Interested participants are required to individually submit a one-minute video expressing his/her views on HIV/AIDS in Vietnam in either English or Vietnamese by 12pm on November 18.
Winners who will be announced on November 27 in Ho Chi Minh City and November 29 in Hanoi will receive iPhone 5c, iPad Mini, and iPod Touch Generation 5. Award ceremonies will be held at the American Centers in the two cities. First- and second-place winners will be contacted in advance and travel expenses covered if the winner lives outside Hanoi or HCMC.
