Vietnam to open national space technology museum in late 2017

Tuesday, September 13, 2016, 18:38 GMT+7

A national space technology museum is expected to be in full operation in late 2017.

The Vietnam Space Technology Museum will be located inside the Vietnam Space Technology Center at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi.

The VND200 billion (US$9 million) museum will cover an indoor area of 1,675 square meters and an outdoor area of 3,500 square meters.

The interior and interactive activities inside the museum might cost up to VND44 billion ($1.9 million), according to the Vietnam Government Portal.

The place will display artifacts and enable space enthusiasts to learn about the mysterious zone through a variety of interactive mediums.

It will also screen 3D films about the formation of the universe, stars, and meteors.

This will be a good chance for visitors to learn about the development of aerospace, which is still strange and new in Vietnam.

The museum, which is part of a project by the Vietnam National Satellite Center, will become fully operational in late 2017.
