The Toc Tien Waterfall-Indochine cable car line with four Guinness World Records in the Ba Na Hills Mountain Resort officially became operational on March 29 in central Da Nang City.

The line sets records for the longest one-line car cable in the world (5,801m), the largest difference in height between departure and destination (1,368m), the longest cable (11,587m), and the heaviest cable, 141.24 tons.

It consists of 25 50-meter pillars, 86 cabins with a capacity of 10 passengers each, and is able to carry 1,500 people per hour. It takes visitors only 17 minutes to reach the top of the mountain.

Constructed by Austrian company Doppelmayr Cable Car and CWA Constructions from Switzerland with a total cost of 30 million EUR (US$38.4 million), the line meets the standards of the World Association of Cable Cars.

This is the third line in Ba Na. The first two were put into use in 2009.
