The large-scale drug ring had bought drugs from Laos to northern Vietnam for sale in Hanoi and many provinces including Son La, Hoa Binh, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and Lang Son, investigators said on Monday, after over a year of investigation.
The ring’s leader was Trang A Tang, 32, who resided in the northern province of Son La. Tang was detained along with his 11 accomplices on July 26, 2013 in Bac Ninh province, also in the northern region.
