Vietjet offers one million promotional tickets in summer campaign

Vietjet on Tuesday started offering one million promotional tickets priced from only $0 in the low-cost carrier’s most outstanding campaign ever.

The campaign, “Free Summer, Fly for Free,” runs from April 25 to June 15 to celebrate the coming summer, with the discounted tickets available for booking from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

During the campaign’s first week, Vietjet will run a three-golden-day promotion from April 25 to 27, applicable to all domestic and international routes, with travel time from May 15 to December 31, excluding national holidays.

The 1.5-month campaign also features other activities such as an online game with weekly awards of free flights, lucky draws, performances by Vietnamese and international celebrities and the “Vietjet Bikini” challenge at some domestic airports and aboard Vietjet flights.

Vietjet posted a revenue of VND5,095 billion (US$227.46 million) in the first quarter of this year, a 44.2 percent year on year spike.

The carrier’s profit also rose 6.8 percent from a year earlier to VND381.65 billion ($17.04 million) in the three-month period.

Around 3.7 million passengers flied with Vietjet in the first quarter, a hike of 29.4 percent compared to the same period of 2016.
