The ongoing display in Bac Giang Province, with the theme of “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa: Historical Evidence,” is organized to enhance awareness among local residents, civil servants and Party members of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, the Bac Giang Museum which is the venue of the exhibit said.

The event is also intended to honor great contributions of the Vietnamese marine law enforcement force to the safeguarding of the sacred national sovereignty.

On display are 228 materials including documents, images, and objects regarded as firm legal evidence proving Vietnam’s indisputable sovereignty over the two groups of islands.

Among the exhibits are documents issued by Vietnamese feudal dynasties in the period from the 17th century to the early 20th century.

There are also instruments written in Chinese, French, and Vietnamese providing information on Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos.

Visitors can also look at many maps and atlases indicating that Truong Sa and Hoang Sa belong to Vietnam, or enjoy photographs depicting the daily activities of residents and soldiers on the archipelagos.

In addition, many images that show activities conducted recently in Bac Giang to support the protection of the fatherland’s seas and islands are also on display. The exhibition will open until August 3 at 6 Nguyen Van Cu Street, Bac Giang City.
