A market fair selling hand-made goods has recently opened in the center of Ho Chi Minh City at the Youth Cultural House in District 1.

Named Saigon Bazzar, the place gathers more than 100 booths displaying handicraft goods, mostly accessorizes. The market has impressed visitors with its friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Saigon Bazzar will open regularly at 1pm to 10pm on the first Saturday of every month at the cultural house at 4 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, promising to bring a new place for not only local youths but also for foreigners who want to know more about local youths’ culture.

Local residents have also known some similar market fairs. The Saigon Flea Market, a monthly outdoor weekend event has always drawn the attention of young city dwellers, as well as members of the expat community. The event boasts more than 60 vendors selling a myriad of crafts, clothes, handmade accessories, home décor, art items, and vintage hand bags, among others.

Some coffee shops around the city like jKed or Café Me also join in this new kind of business by running a market selling handicrafts or books every month.
