Photographers, both professional and non-professional, including those under 18 years old, are all welcome to take part in the 2014 Vietnam Heritage Photo Contest, which closes in September 2014.
This year's photo contest, the third so far, receives submissions in nature (landscape, natural resources, environment, flora and fauna), tangible culture (architecture, sculpture and crafts), intangible culture (religions, traditional festivals, folk games) and lifestyle (customs and traditions.)
The participating photos can be either colored or black and white, and can be single ones or collections.
The photos must be dated from Jan 1, 2013 to the submission deadline, Sept 20, 2014.
For the first time, the competition organizers allow kids and teenagers to compete in a section for youths.
The total prize worth is over VND200 million (US$9,414), with the first prize being VND20 million.
100 outstanding photos will be selected and exhibited in late October before being showcased in 10 other cities and provinces.
The competition is jointly organized by the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association and Vietnam Heritage Magazine.
