German film fest brings free screenings to big cities

A festival featuring German movies will be held by the Goethe-Institut in Vietnam from September 6 to November 4 in big cities around the country.

Titled “German Film Festival,” the event’s third iteration will showcase new and successful German films including, “Promising The Moon,” “Man in the City 2,” “Summer Window,” “Winter Daughter,” “The Crocodile 3,” “Lesson of A Dream,” and “Beast Being Dead” through 70 screenings in Hanoi, Haiphong, Da Nang, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.

People can also take part in a quiz by answering questions about the films via the website, www.goethe.de/german-filmfestival-vietnam.de.and win prizes.

The 2010 and 2011 versions of the festival attracted 30,000 viewers in total.

Free tickets for the 2012 film screenings are available at the Goethe-Institut in Hanoi 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street and HCMC’s BHD Star Cinema on 3/2 Street in District 10.
