The book exchange day called “Trao và nhận” (Give and receive),  set for May 11 and 12 in Ho Chi Minh City, gives book lovers the opportunity to change their old books for new ones and take part in book-related activities.

The event, jointly put on by Thich doc sach (Book lovers) Club and Sunshine Club, will take place from 8am to 5pm on May 11 and 12 at Rhapsody Café, on first floor, 26 Ly Tu Trong, district 1.

Themed “Good books don’t want to stay put on shelves”, the event offers book enthusiasts the chance to exchange their favorite books along with participating in talks with Iris Cao- co-author of “Thuong nhau de do” (Just keep my love to myself), one of current best-sellers- and Dang Huynh Mai Anh, 2012 Bayer Vietnam environment ambassador, who authored a book titled “Chuyen thuc tap” (Internship stories) and enjoying book-related games.

Those interested can take a look at http://www.facebook.com/thichdocsach and http://www.facebook.com/sunshineclub.vietnam for detailed information.

The books eligible for changing for new ones must be intact in the number of pages and acceptable in quality. As for series with each volume worth less than VND10,000 (US$0.5), owners must hand in at least half the series to be eligible for new ones.

All the books garnered at the close of the event will be donated to Sunshine Club, which helps needy kids with their schooling.
