-- Vietnam will host the fourth Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit in Hanoi from April 14 to 17, under the theme 'Sustainable and People-Centered Green Transition,' the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced at a press conference on Tuesday.

-- Vietnam has the highest alcohol and beer consumption in Southeast Asia, and the third in Asia, with beer accounting for 97 percent of total alcohol consumption, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control.

-- Local authorities confirmed on Tuesday that an 18-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy drowned at Ham Rong Dam in Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam the previous day.

-- Police in Lao Cai Province, northern Vietnam said on Tuesday they fined a pickup truck driver VND5 million (US$192) and deducted six points from his driver's license for transporting two children in the truck bed after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

-- The U.S. dollar selling price hit a record high of VND26,143 at Vietnamese banks on Tuesday.

-- In its Q1 2025 report on Ho Chi Minh City’s housing market, global commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield said the price of high-end apartments in the city reached $4,691 per square meter, up nearly 28 percent from late 2024 and around 47 percent year on year.

-- More than 50 Vietnamese enterprises are participating in the FHA-Food & Beverage 2025 trade expo, one of Asia’s premier industry events, which opened in Singapore on Tuesday.

-- The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho City said on Tuesday that it will host the second round of the 2025 National Motorcycle Championship ‘Caltex Havoline Cub Prix Cup’ at Can Tho Stadium on April 30.
